Find out what sites or activities you and your family are most interested in and build your budget from there. Decide ahead of time your limit per day or per event. Find local attractions you might have forgotten about by visiting the AAA office or go online to the area's Chamber of Commerce. 3. One resource from home you should definitely not forget to use is your babysitter. How many of your last family vacations allowed for a night out without the kids? Think of the great benefits this offers. You and your kids already know and trust the sitter, she is familiar with the area so it isn't inconvenient for her to come to where you are, and with the money you're saving on your staycation you can afford to have a few extra hours out. |
